Folkestone birth Circle
Second Tuesdays, 7.30-9.30pm, free
A free monthly discussion group, hosted at home. We will facilitate peer group discussions, allow space for you to air questions and concerns, and hear first hand birth stories, to help you prepare for your labour/birth.
As well as your two doula hosts, there are often one or two other birth workers. However, in this circle we look to each person to be the expert and authority on themselves. No one knows more about your pregnancy, your body, and your baby than you. More Info
Walk and Social
Sunday mornings, 10am-12, free
Coastal meet up once a month for a coffee, gentle walk, and plenty of chat. Uplift your mental health with fresh air and friendship, as well as benefit your physical health and birth preparation with a bit of gentle exercise. Talk about your pregnancy experience, your birth plan, thoughts about your future baby or your future self. Or take a break from it all and spend time talking about other things entirely, and just build on your network and new friendships!
Partners (other children and dogs!) are very much welcome.
Pregnancy Nourishment
Fourth Fridays, 12-2pm, at home, no cost
Your community based, whole-self care pregnancy appointments that have nothing to do with the clinical and everything to do with everything else. With a bring and share lunch.
This is a space for you to focus on how you are feeling in pregnancy, the impact of it within your life, and yourself as a whole.
As usual with Folkey Birth Club, we look to you to bring the expertise on yourselves, which is your invaluable contribution to making the group what it is.
This is also a bring and share event- something to eat or drink towards lunch as we chat (doesn't need to be fancy!), or a candle or flower for the table, for example. More Info
